After a uneventful 8-hour flight with Lufthansa we arrived at JFK around noon, cleared imigration and customs (our fingerprints were taken...) then took a cab for the 40 minute transfer to our home for the week: Crowne Plaza, 1605 Broadway, New York City, NY.
We were lucky and got a nice, spacious corner-room with a breathtaking view: one window looked over Times Square, the other flight of windows stretched over the whole lenght of the room and we had a very nice view towards the Hudson River!
O.K., get ready, it´s only afternoon, weather sunny,  let´s check out the surroundings and head for Central Park!
